Municipal palace - The best preserved Romanesque public building in Istria, but also in Croatia. The palace was mostly built in 1248, and in that period, in addition to its public function, as a town hall, it also served as an important part of the city's defense. Although it has undergone numerous architectural changes over the centuries, original Romanesque bifores can still be seen on its façade. Today, in addition to the local self-government, the communal palace houses the Art gallery "Pet kula", the cinema "Bauer", the medieval printing house "Antico", the tourist information center etc.
