Parenzana

Parenzana is a historic narrow-gauge railway turned popular MTB cycling route in northwestern Istria, featuring the iconic 222-meter tunnel near Motovun.

Parenzana- while in history (1902-1935) it was the lifeblood of northwestern Istria as a narrow-gauge railway, today Parenzana is one of the busiest MTB cycling routes in Istria, a tourist attraction and one of Istria's most recognizable brands. Parenzana passes under Motovun, where there is a former railway station, but also the longest tunnel on Parenzana, 222 meters long.
